Super rugby 2020 Australia
Force take on Brumbies on Saturday in Super Rugby. It’s been a rough re-entry into the league for the Force, who are bottom of the standings in Australia. The Force have lost their opening two games of the season against the Waratahs and Reds. As a result, Force only have 1 point on the board.
Brumbies are second in the table with 2 wins from 2 matches. Brumbies beat Rebels 31-23 before they beat Waratahs 24-23 last week.
Force captain Ian Prior (shoulder) and Greg Holmes (broken thumb) will miss the match.
Noah Lolesio is out for Brumbies, so Bayley Kuenzle will start at 10.
It’s not quite the homecoming the Force were hoping for, holding their first Super Rugby Australia “home” game at Leichardt Oval.
Over the last fortnight we have seen that this side is certainly up to the standard of Super Rugby and won’t be roadkill for the other four sides.
If the Brumbies play at anything resembling the level they did in their narrow escape against the Waratahs, the Force might even have a chance of winning this game.
While we’re not quite crazy enough to back the Force to come away with a win here, a two converted try line is more than enough margin for error.
THE TEAM NEWS
WESTERN FORCE
Western Force were again unable to earn some promising positions count as they slipped to a second defeat in a row at the start of their Super Rugby AU campaign since they were edged by the Reds.
A high-scoring first half left the score at 21-19 in the break but the Force were unable to get their noses in front and they were finally beaten 31-24, although they will take plenty from their performance.
To make matters worse to the Force as they go from the search of their first achievement of the contest, they’ve suffered two injury strikes with captain Ian Prior sidelined together with Greg Holmes.
BRUMBIES
Brumbies made it two wins out of two in the beginning of the tournament as they edged NSW Waratahs at a thrilling competition last week but they need to improve on that performance after underwhelming for big spells.
The Waratahs led by 15 points in the first half although the Brumbies hit back to decrease the deficit to just three points at the break but they needed a try in the final minutes of the game to snatch the victory.
The Brumbies have dropped fly-half Noah Lolesio with Bayley Kuenzie carrying the number 10 shirt while there will be a introduction on the wing for Solomone Kata with Scott Sio and Will Miller also bringing begins.

THE PREDICTION
Western Force has shown flashes of what they can do in their opening Two games so far but they have to devote a complete 80-minute performance, which has seen them lose both games. They now face a huge Task against the Brumbies who maintain the opposite record, though they Will need to upgrade after a fairly underwhelming outing a week. The Brumbies can perform to a much higher standard and having won the last Seven clashes with the Force, they ought to have the ability to come out on top in This one and win by at least 14 points in the process.
