Four largest registered shareholders of Robit Plc’s have nominated four representatives to the Shareholders’ Nomination Board. Robit is a global company which serves global customers and sell drilling consumables for applications in mining, construction and contracting, tunneling and well drilling.
The nominated representatives include first; Harri Sjöholm as Chairman of the Board, Five Alliance Oy, second; Timo Sallinen as Head of Listed Securities, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company, third; Jukka Vähäpesola as Head of Equities, Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company, and fourth; Tuomas Virtala as CEO, OP Asset Management Ltd. While, at the Robit’s first meeting, the Committee will select a Chairman from the list of its members .
Under the public limited company rule, the Robit’s Nomination Board sets up and presents the proposals to the Annual General Meeting to remunerate the members of the Board of Directors, to set the number of members and to decide who should be elected as a member of the Board of Directors. The committee also plays it role in giving the name for board approval on the principles that take care of the diversity of the Board of Directors.
The new appointed Nomination Board accedes the proposals each year to the Board of Directors before 31 January before the holding of next Annual General Meeting. So the Shareholders’ Nomination Board requires to be set up until further notice by the Annual General Meeting.
