The Race marks another notable milestone for NASCAR, as a limited number of enthusiasts will have the ability to wait for the first time because the COVID-19 pandemic stopped enthusiast attendance in mid-March.
Denny Hamlin will start on the rod, and he’ll be followed by Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, and Chase Elliott to round out the top . For the full starting lineup, you can go here.
Martin Truex Jr. will seem to make it two straight victories after taking the checkered flag a week in Martinsville. Kyle Busch will seem to replicate after winning last year’s Homestead race.
NASCAR ends its weekend at South Florida with Sunday’s Cup Series race, the Dixie Vodka 400, at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
With A restricted number of audiences and service associates permitted in the grandstands, race fans can catch all of the action via live stream on fuboTV (free trial) or Hulu.
Kevin Harvick is one of the favorites for great reason. Harvick has posted 12 top 10 finishes in Homestead because 2008.
Another Busch, of course, landed victories at Homestead in 2015 and 2019, procuring overall series titles every year.
NASCAR heads to Miami this Sunday for what will be a hot and rainy Weekend at South Florida. Normally, we visit Homestead-Miami Speedway for the last race of this season to determine the NASCAR Championship, but this season they’ll be finishing off the year in Phoenix. This is the fourth 1.5 mile intermediate track along with the eighth race since the restart in May.
What we’ll Search for this week in Locating a winner Is drivers that have shown speed from the racetracks very similar to Homestead this year.
Also, the cream usually rises to the top at this track Contemplating its plight every time with the championship at stake. Six former champions have won here so do not be surprised if it’s one of these names again. Just this season, five of the seven races have been won by former champions.
Kyle Busch: Odds (5.5/1)
Last Year’s winner returns to the trail where he saw victory lane. That’s correct, we are twenty five total races into the 2020 year, and Kyle Busch has yet to record a win. You don’t have to worry, thought, as Busch has six top-5 endings in these eleven races and four since the restart.
We Just saw the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas come alive in Atlanta last Sunday, and I think you’ll find that in Homestead. Both Busch and JGR teammate Martin Truex Jr have dropped at Homestead at the previous 3 races here.
Busch is also coming from a 2nd place finish in Atlanta And then a disappointing night in the brief track in Martinsville. I think Busch eventually puts a complete race together, and he will have to conquer his teammates to earn the victory. So far as chances, anything (6/1) is a decent number for him. Money will likely pour into Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex as they’ve both won already this year. Bettors have likely had enough getting burned by the #18, so his chances could get better as closer to race time.
The Daytona 500 winner has been a rollercoaster since the restart. Throw in 3 finishes outside the top-15, and Hamlin is unpredictable since it gets.
What I like about his results this season is that he is Hamlin will begin on the pole that this Sunday, so expect him to lead plenty of laps. The only drawback is that he has started on the pole in four of their previous five Homestead races also has just recorded one result inside the top-10.
The #11 car has wins in Homestead Back in 2009 & 2013 and gets the rate this season to get it done. His chances at (10/1) are not too bad if you are looking to continue to fade Kyle Busch.
Each Week the NASCAR community wonders if that is the week the seven-time NASCAR champion will go back to victory lane, and every week he falls just short. Johnson has continue to show positive results each week with three consecutive top-10 finishes.
Now Johnson returns to a track Where he won in 2016, which was the previous time Chevrolet has won here. Both of his Hendrick teammates Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman have wins on 1.5 mile racetracks this season, therefore adding another decoration for Hendrick Motorsports wouldn’t be a surprise.
The warmth and humidity Will definitely be a factor this weekend as temperatures out the cars will be in the mid-80s all weekend. Johnson is probably in the best form of any driver in NASCAR considering he has finished the Boston Marathon at 2019. So if fatigue and focus become a variable, advantage Johnson.
It is hard To find a driver this week outside the favorites that has a legit shot at winning that weekend, however, we’ve seen Ryan Blaney show rate almost every race. Blaney also has five top-5 finishes this year involving two 3rd place finishes in Charlotte along with a 4th place in Atlanta.
The #12 car is the only one inside the top-8 from the NASCAR standings without a triumph; also, like Kyle Busch, we should watch Blaney in victory lane sometime this year.
The Penske Fords have been the most Total team this season with teammates Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski with two wins each. While I think Keselowski is set up to do well Sunday, we ought to see another good performance from all three drivers.
Last Year in Homestead, Jones finished in the top-3 as JGR took all three areas in the last race of this year. If we take a look at comparable tracks to Homestead, Jones has pretty great results at Chicagoland and Atlanta. Jones also has shown speed in his JGR gear, but he just has not had the same success as his teammates. A top-5 complete at (5/1) odds could likely be his very best choice for Sunday.
